Virgil van Dijk is a Dutch centre-back born on 8 July 1991 in Breda. He played for Groningen, Celtic, and Southampton before joining Liverpool, where he transformed their defence. He has won the Champions League and Premier League. He represents the Netherlands and has captained both club and country.
