Total Soccer Growth Holdings take over Central Coast Mariners

Total Soccer Growth Holdings has completed its takeover of the Central Coast Mariners, promising to enhance the club's growth and performance in the A-League.

The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) has officially announced that Total Soccer Growth Holdings (TSG) is the new owner of Central Coast Mariners FC. TSG is a privately-owned international business that also holds a majority stake in English Championship club Queens Park Rangers and has investments in MLS side Los Angeles FC.

Vision for Growth and Community Engagement

Ruben Gnanalingam, the majority shareholder of TSG, expressed enthusiasm about entering the A-Leagues with this investment. He stated, “We see Australian football as a major growth area in the sport internationally, and are excited to return Central Coast Mariners to the era of valuing and nurturing young Coasties.” Gnanalingam emphasized the importance of restoring energy and enthusiasm for the club, acknowledging the challenges faced during the previous season.

The acquisition encompasses the operation of the men's A-League team and the club's Academy, which includes both men's and women's teams. The APL is currently working to secure a new investor for the Mariners’ A-League Women’s team.

Strengthening Ties to the Global Football Economy

APL CEO Steve Rosich highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating that it further validates the growing international standing of the A-League and its players. He noted, “Total Soccer Growth Holdings has an ambitious growth and multi-club vision, focused on talent development and community engagement.” Rosich expressed eagerness to collaborate with TSG as they integrate into the club and community, aiming for success in the upcoming 2026/27 season.

Rosich also took a moment to thank the dedicated fans, partners, staff, and players of the Mariners for their loyalty. He remarked, “The Central Coast community is the heartbeat of this club, and we look forward to that continuing to grow alongside the club.”
