West Ham United has completed the signing of striker Valentin 'Taty' Castellanos from Lazio. The deal, finalized for an undisclosed fee, aims to enhance the team's offensive lineup.

West Ham United has officially announced the signing of Lazio striker Valentin 'Taty' Castellanos on a four-and-a-half-year contract, which includes the option for an additional year. The transfer fee remains undisclosed.
Castellanos' Career Highlights
The 27-year-old forward joined Lazio in 2023, where he made a significant impact by appearing in 98 matches, scoring 22 goals, and providing 16 assists. Castellanos has also represented Argentina at the international level, earning two caps since his debut in 2024. Prior to his time in Italy, he played for New York City FC and Girona.
West Ham's Ambitions
West Ham's head coach, Nuno Espirito Santo, has identified Castellanos as a "key target" for the club. In his first comments after the signing, Castellanos expressed his commitment to the team, stating he will "give everything" to contribute positively. He emphasized the importance of bringing energy and a fighting spirit to every match.
This signing marks Nuno's second acquisition during the January transfer window, following the arrival of Brazilian striker Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente for a reported fee of 25 million euros (£22 million). As West Ham currently sits in 18th place in the Premier League, they are gearing up for a crucial match against Nottingham Forest, who are just four points ahead in 17th.
