Club de Futbol Monterrey has officially announced the signing of Uruguayan forward Diego Rossi ahead of the upcoming Torneo Apertura 2026. The 28-year-old player is recognized for his dynamic playing style and goal-scoring prowess, making him a valuable addition to Rayados.

Career Highlights

Diego Rossi began his professional journey in the youth academy of Peñarol in Uruguay, where he made his debut in 2016 and secured two Uruguayan League titles. In 2018, he transitioned to Major League Soccer (MLS) with LAFC, becoming one of the club's inaugural Designated Players. During his tenure with LAFC, Rossi achieved significant success, including winning the 2020 MLS Golden Boot as the league's top scorer with 14 goals.

International Experience

After a stint in Europe with Fenerbahçe, where he competed in various leagues and won the Turkish Cup in 2023, Rossi returned to MLS in August 2023 to join Columbus Crew. His contributions were instrumental in the Crew's championship victories in the 2023 MLS Cup and the 2024 Leagues Cup. Throughout his career, Rossi has netted 133 goals in 380 official matches and has represented Uruguay at multiple youth levels, culminating in appearances for the senior national team in international friendlies and World Cup qualifying matches.
