Trabzonspor has officially signed Brazilian midfielder Fabinho, who was previously a free agent after leaving Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad. The announcement was made through a filing with Türkiye's Public Disclosure Platform on August 25, 2026.

Contract Details

Fabinho, 32, has agreed to terms that include a guaranteed annual salary of €2.6 million, along with a signing fee of €1.4 million for each season. This brings his total guaranteed annual cost to Trabzonspor to €4 million.

Career Highlights

Before joining Trabzonspor, Fabinho had a successful five-year stint at Liverpool, where he made 219 appearances. During his time at the club, he won numerous titles, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. After leaving Liverpool, he played for Al-Ittihad, where he won the Saudi Pro League.

Fabinho's return to European football will see him reunite with former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah, who recently joined Trabzonspor.
