Tottenham Reach Fee Agreement With Manchester City To Sign Savinho In Marquee Summer Deal
Tottenham Hotspur has successfully negotiated a fee with Manchester City to acquire promising young player Savinho. This marquee deal highlights Spurs' ambition in the upcoming season.

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have come to a preliminary agreement regarding the transfer fee for Brazilian winger Savinho, bringing the deal closer to completion.
Negotiations Nearing Conclusion
The two Premier League clubs are in the final stages of discussions, with only minor contractual details left to finalize before a full agreement is reached. Spurs insider SzyExcl reported on X that the core financial terms between the clubs have essentially been settled. “The fee for Savinho is basically agreed from what I’m told, it’s just sorting out add-ons,” SzyExcl noted, indicating that the transfer is progressing steadily.
Savinho's Interest in Spurs
Manchester City had been seeking a fee in the range of £50 million to £60 million for the 22-year-old winger, and Tottenham appears prepared to meet that valuation. Personal terms are not expected to pose any issues, as Savinho has reportedly expressed interest in a move to North London since last summer. Although Pep Guardiola opted to keep him at the Etihad last season, Savinho's desire to join Spurs has remained strong.
If the remaining add-on structures are agreed upon, Savinho will become the marquee signing in Roberto De Zerbi’s summer rebuild. The Italian manager aims to enhance his attacking options with players who bring explosive flair and direct dribbling, qualities that align well with Savinho’s playing style.
Having made a significant impact during a loan spell at Girona, Savinho earned his move to Manchester City. However, he experienced limited playing time under Guardiola last season and is eager to take on a more prominent role. His signing would signal Tottenham's ambition to move past last season's relegation struggles and re-establish themselves as contenders for European competition.
Tottenham has already been active in the transfer market this summer, securing the free transfer of veteran left-back Andy Robertson. Additionally, defender Marco Senesi is expected to join on a free transfer, while Brighton’s Jan Paul van Hecke has agreed to personal terms with the club, despite two rejected bids. The club's leadership has shown strong support for De Zerbi following a challenging campaign that saw Spurs narrowly avoid relegation on the final day of the season.
