Sydney FC sign midfielder Jake Hollman on a three-year deal
Sydney FC has secured midfielder Jake Hollman on a three-year deal, enhancing their roster as they prepare for the new season.

Sydney FC has strengthened its midfield ahead of the 2026-27 Isuzu UTE A-League season by signing midfielder Jake Hollman on a three-year contract. The 24-year-old makes his return to Sydney after spending the previous season with Walsall FC in England's EFL League Two, marking him as the first permanent signing under new Head Coach Patrick Kisnorbo.
Hollman's Journey Back to Sydney
After a challenging stint in the UK where he found it difficult to secure playing time, Hollman is eager to rediscover the form that earned him a move to Walsall. He initially developed his skills in the Sydney FC academy before moving to Macarthur Bulls, where he made over 100 appearances, contributing 16 goals and nine assists, and played a key role in winning two Australia Cup titles.
Excitement for the Future
Reflecting on his return, Hollman expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Coming back to Sydney FC feels like coming home. This is the club where I developed as a player and as a person.” He reminisced about his time in the academy and the joy of winning the National Youth League Grand Final. Hollman is confident that his experiences in both the A-League and England have made him a more seasoned player, ready to contribute to Sydney FC's ambitions. He added, “I can’t wait to pull on the Sky Blue jersey again and get started.”
Head Coach Patrick Kisnorbo shared his excitement about Hollman’s return, noting that the midfielder understands what it means to represent Sydney FC. “He’s got excellent energy, quality on the ball and a tremendous work ethic,” Kisnorbo remarked. With Hollman now back in the fold, he will join the squad at Sky Park in late June as they prepare for the upcoming season, which includes the Sydney Super Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur and the Australia Cup 2026 campaign.
