Sydney FC has secured the future of defender Jordan Courtney-Perkins by signing him to a new two-year contract, following an impressive late-season performance under coach Patrick Kisnorbo. Just three months ago, Courtney-Perkins' time with the club appeared uncertain, but his revival has been remarkable.

Career Revival Under Kisnorbo

Before Kisnorbo took charge in March, Courtney-Perkins had only made six substitute appearances during the 2025-26 season under former coach Ufuk Talay and was expected to depart the club in the off-season. However, Kisnorbo immediately integrated him into the starting lineup, and Courtney-Perkins played every minute of the coach's eight-game tenure, which ended with a narrow 1-0 loss to Auckland FC in the grand final last month.
