APL CEO Steve Rosich expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season, stating, “The countdown has begun for the 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.” He noted that the league aims to build on last season’s success, which saw over 1.6 million fans attending matches across Australia and New Zealand, while also capitalizing on the excitement generated by the FIFA Men’s World Cup.

Rosich confirmed that the Sydney Derby will kick off the season, with Sydney FC facing off against the Western Sydney Wanderers at Allianz Stadium. Fans can preview all Matchweek 1 fixtures via the Official A-Leagues App, with the complete fixture list for the season set to be released tomorrow morning.

Membership Week and Club Communication

In addition to the fixture announcement, the A-League will honor its most dedicated supporters during Membership Week, starting on Monday, 20 July. This initiative aims to reward passionate fans with various competitions and prizes as a token of appreciation for their loyalty to their clubs ahead of the new season.

Rosich further commented on the early release of the fixtures, stating, “We wanted to release the Isuzu UTE A-League Men 2026/27 fixture earlier than ever, to give Clubs, partners and fans more time to plan and prepare for next season.” He also confirmed that the league will maintain its 12-team format for the upcoming season, excluding Western United. Ongoing discussions with Western United will determine the club’s future in the league based on financial and operational developments in the coming months.

As the anticipation builds for the new season, fans are encouraged to stay updated through the A-Leagues app and prepare for what promises to be an exhilarating campaign.
