Leicester City has officially announced the signing of striker Admir Bristric, who joins the club on a permanent transfer from NK Olimpija Ljubljana, pending league and international clearance.
Bristric's Arrival at Leicester City
The 23-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina youth international has signed a four-year contract with Leicester City. He is set to integrate into Russell Martin’s squad ahead of their opening match in the Sky Bet League One against Notts County this Saturday.
Bristric's Background and Career Progression
Born in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bristric started his football career with Zvijezda Gradačac before progressing through the youth ranks at Zrinjski Mostar and Sloboda Tuzla. In 2021, he moved to Croatia to join HNK Rijeka, where he made his senior debut during a loan spell at Hrvatski Dragovoljac, making 14 appearances and scoring his first senior goal.
Bristric transferred to Olimpija in January 2023, where he made an immediate impact by scoring four goals in 14 league matches, contributing to the team's success in securing both the Slovenian league and cup titles. He continued to build on this success, featuring 36 times across all competitions in the subsequent season.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the move, Bristric stated, “I feel proud and amazing to be at such a big club like Leicester. It’s a big step in my career and I’m so excited to show the fans what I can do.”
