Melbourne City has announced that Socceroos goalkeeper Patrick Beach has made a permanent move to French Ligue 1 club Troyes for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old leaves City after three successful seasons, during which he became a prominent figure in the Isuzu UTE A-League and earned the position of first-choice goalkeeper for the Socceroos at the World Cup.

Impressive Tenure at Melbourne City

During his time with Melbourne City, Beach made a total of 64 appearances across all competitions, achieving 25 clean sheets. His contributions were vital in helping the team secure the 2024/25 Isuzu UTE A-League Championship. Beach played every match of the title-winning season, culminating in a clean sheet during the Grand Final against Melbourne Victory.

International Recognition

Beach's outstanding performances at the club level led to his Socceroos debut against Venezuela in November 2025, where he was named Player of the Match. He subsequently started all four of Australia’s matches at the FIFA World Cup, solidifying his status as Tony Popovic’s first-choice goalkeeper.
