Savinho transfer: Spurs agree £85m deal to sign Brazi forward from Manchester City | Football News | Sky Sports
Tottenham Hotspur has finalized an £85 million transfer deal for Brazilian forward Savinho from Manchester City, enhancing their squad ahead of the new season.

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Manchester City for the transfer of Brazilian forward Savinho, with the deal valued at £85 million. The initial payment will be £75 million, with an additional £10 million available through performance-related add-ons. Reports indicate that £5 million of these bonuses are effectively guaranteed, ensuring that City will receive at least £80 million from the transaction.
Medical and Future Plans
Savinho is expected to undergo a medical examination as he prepares to finalize his move to north London. In addition to this transfer, Tottenham is also in discussions with Manchester City regarding a separate deal for striker Omar Marmoush, as they aim to bolster their attacking lineup further.
Spurs' Summer Spending Spree
This summer, Tottenham has already invested over £200 million in six first-team players. Their significant outlay includes £185 million spent on midfielders Sandro Tonali and Matheus Fernandes, who joined from Newcastle and West Ham, respectively. Additionally, Jan Paul van Hecke was signed from Brighton for £52 million to fill the void left by Cristian Romero, while Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson, and Martin Dubravka joined on free transfers.
Savinho, who joined Manchester City in 2024, had a limited role last season, starting only seven of his 24 Premier League appearances, during which he scored once and provided two assists. Tottenham's financial strategy has been bolstered by their consistent European qualifications and significant revenue from their stadium, which hosts various events beyond football. This financial health allows Spurs to pursue an aggressive transfer strategy under new leadership following Daniel Levy's departure at the start of last season.
