Sara Agrez: Liverpool agree to sign Cologne defender on free transfer - BBC Sport
Liverpool has confirmed the signing of defender Sara Agrez from Cologne on a free transfer, enhancing their squad ahead of the new season.

Liverpool FC has reached an agreement to sign Sara Agrez, a defender from Cologne, on a free transfer. The 25-year-old player is set to join the club on July 1, following a two-and-a-half-year stint with the Frauen-Bundesliga team.
International Experience and Recent Performance
Agrez, who has been capped 57 times by the Slovenia national team, made her international debut in 2019. During her time at Cologne, she was a key player, starting in 23 of the 26 league matches as the team finished in seventh place.
Previous Clubs
Before her tenure at Cologne, Agrez played for ZNK Mura in Slovenia, as well as for German clubs Turbine Potsdam and Wolfsburg. Her experience across various leagues will be an asset to Liverpool as they look to strengthen their squad.
As Liverpool prepares for the upcoming season, the club will see the departure of Liverpool legend Gemma Bonner and fellow defender Gemma Evans, whose contracts will expire this summer.
