Real Madrid has officially signed defender Ibrahima Konate from Liverpool on a four-year contract, as confirmed by the club on Thursday. This agreement follows the conclusion of Konate's contract at Anfield.

The Spanish club stated that Konate will remain with Real Madrid until June 30, 2030. The 27-year-old centre-back previously joined Liverpool in 2021 from RB Leipzig, where he made 183 appearances and contributed to the team's successes, including winning the Premier League in 2025 and the FA Cup in 2022.

Real Madrid's Squad Reinforcement

Currently participating in the World Cup with France, Konate joins a Real Madrid squad that has already seen significant changes this summer. The club recently appointed Jose Mourinho as head coach and added Spain's Marc Cucurella and Portugal's Bernardo Silva to their roster. Additionally, Real Madrid is reportedly interested in Inter Milan's Denzel Dumfries as they continue to revamp their squad after two seasons without a major trophy.
