Rangers have officially confirmed the signing of striker Lawrence Shankland from Hearts, marking a significant addition to their squad ahead of the upcoming season. The 30-year-old forward has signed a two-year contract with the option for an additional year, with the transfer fee remaining undisclosed.

Shankland's Journey to Rangers

Shankland, who will wear the No. 7 shirt, is set to become Rangers' first signing of the summer when the transfer window opens on June 15. The Scotland international, who has earned 18 caps for his country, completes his move to Glasgow just before representing Scotland at the 2026 World Cup. During his four seasons at Hearts, Shankland established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the Scottish Premiership, netting 88 goals in 171 appearances.

In his final season with Hearts, Shankland captained the team to a second-place finish in the league, narrowly missing out on the title after a defeat to Celtic on the last day.
