PSG's Portugal forward Ramos signs five-year AC Milan deal

Portugal forward Ramos has officially joined AC Milan on a five-year deal after leaving PSG, enhancing the club's attacking options for the upcoming season.

Goncalo Ramos, the Portuguese forward from Paris Saint-Germain, has officially signed a five-year contract with AC Milan, as confirmed by both clubs on Tuesday.

Details of the Transfer

The 25-year-old Ramos has committed to AC Milan until June 30, 2031, in a deal reportedly worth 74 million euros (approximately $84 million), which could rise to 90 million euros with performance-related bonuses. This transfer marks a new record for the club, surpassing the previous record set by Rafael Leao, who was acquired from Lille for 49.5 million euros in 2019.

Ramos' Career at PSG

During his three-year tenure at PSG, Ramos enjoyed significant success, winning the Champions League twice and securing three Ligue 1 titles, in addition to two French Cups. However, he faced challenges in securing a consistent starting position, often playing behind Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele in the team's attacking lineup. Notably, he did not start any Champions League matches for PSG this season and scored 45 goals in 131 appearances, many of which were as a substitute.

In a heartfelt message on Instagram, Ramos reflected on his time at PSG, stating, "Today, one of the most defining chapters of my career is coming to an end. Wearing the PSG shirt has been a privilege and an honour I will carry with me forever." He expressed gratitude towards the club, emphasizing that PSG will always hold a special place in his heart.

AC Milan welcomed Ramos to the squad, wishing him success as he joins under the management of fellow Portuguese Ruben Amorim. PSG also expressed their appreciation for Ramos, thanking him for his professionalism and contributions during his time with the club.
