The 32-year-old Dutch international joins the Timbers on a free transfer and is contracted through the 2027-28 MLS season. Janssen arrives in Portland following a successful four-year stint at Royal Antwerp in Belgium's Pro League, where he served as team captain and recorded 64 goals and 27 assists in 173 appearances across all competitions. Prior to his time in Belgium, he played in Turkey with Fenerbahce and in Mexico's Liga MX with CF Monterrey.
