Nottingham Forest has officially signed Ousmane Diomande from Sporting for a fixed fee of approximately £34.3 million (€40 million). The 22-year-old centre-back has joined the club on a four-year contract following extensive negotiations.

Diomande's Background and Achievements

Diomande has spent the last four seasons at Sporting, where he made 132 appearances, scored seven goals, and won the Primeira Liga twice. His time at Sporting also included helping the team reach the knockout stages of the Champions League and securing a domestic double in the 2024/25 season. Additionally, Diomande was part of the Ivory Coast national team that triumphed in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, marking their first victory in eight years. He has earned 15 caps for his country and participated in this summer's World Cup.
