AC Milan has officially confirmed the signing of wing-back Diego Moreira from Strasbourg on a five-year contract, extending until June 30, 2031. This announcement marks the club's fourth signing of the summer transfer window, following the acquisitions of Goncalo Ramos, Mario Gila, and Sankhoun Diawara.

The transfer news came as a surprise, as Moreira had not been linked with AC Milan since his time at Benfica. Diego Moreira, born in Liège on August 6, 2004, developed through the youth systems of Standard Liège and Benfica. He gained recognition at the youth level, contributing to Benfica's Under-19 team winning the UEFA Youth League in the 2021/22 season and later lifting the Under-20 Intercontinental Cup. He made his UEFA Champions League debut during the qualifying rounds of the 2022/23 season.

In the summer of 2023, Moreira joined Chelsea, making his first-team debut in a Carabao Cup match against Wimbledon. He spent the 2023/24 season with Olympique Lyonnais before moving to RC Strasbourg in the summer of 2024.
