However, Newcastle faces challenges due to existing transfer clauses involving Real Madrid. Munoz joined Osasuna from the Spanish giants last summer for approximately £5 million, which included a release clause set at around £35 million. Additionally, Real Madrid has a buy-back clause in place and retains 50% of Munoz's economic rights, meaning they would receive half of any sell-on fee if he is transferred again without them exercising their buy-back option.
