Nathan Aké has officially transferred from Manchester City to Fenerbahce, marking the end of his six-year tenure with the Premier League club. The Netherlands international, currently participating in the World Cup, has signed a three-year contract with the Turkish side, who finished as runners-up in the Süper Lig last season.

While Fenerbahce has not disclosed the exact transfer fee, reports suggest that the club will pay €8.1 million, with an additional €1.75 million in potential add-ons, totaling approximately €2.15 million below Aké's €12 million market value. A club statement confirmed the agreement, stating, "Our club has reached an agreement with and signed a contract with Nathan Aké, a player for the Dutch National Team." Aké is expected to join his new teammates at their pre-season training camp in Austria after the World Cup.

A Successful Stint at Manchester City

Aké joined Manchester City from Bournemouth in August 2020 for €45.3 million and made 177 appearances over his six seasons with the club. Under the management of Pep Guardiola, he enjoyed significant success, winning 12 trophies, including four Premier League titles, a UEFA Champions League title, two FA Cups, and a Club World Cup. However, his playing time diminished in the 2025/26 season, where he made only 18 Premier League appearances and spent 688 minutes on the pitch.
