Arsenal has announced the signing of goalkeeper Misa Rodriguez from Real Madrid on a free transfer. The 27-year-old joins the Gunners after her contract with the Spanish club expired, adding to a goalkeeping lineup that includes Daphne van Domselaar, Anneke Borbe, and fellow summer recruit Isabella Damm.

Rodriguez made a remarkable 215 appearances for Real Madrid, making her the club's all-time leader in appearances. Additionally, she has represented Spain 24 times, competing for a starting position with Barcelona's Cata Coll in the national team. Notably, Rodriguez played in three group matches during Spain's successful Women's World Cup campaign in 2023.

This acquisition marks Arsenal's seventh signing of the summer transfer window and their fourth free transfer, following the arrivals of Georgia Stanway, Geraldine Reuteler, Selina Cerci, and Ona Batlle.
