Mason Greenwood has arrived in Istanbul as Fenerbahce prepares to officially announce his signing. The English forward landed at Istanbul Airport on July 16, 2026, accompanied by his family and was welcomed by a large gathering of enthusiastic supporters dressed in the club's yellow and navy colors.

The 24-year-old winger, who was signed from Olympique de Marseille for a transfer fee of 39 million euros, expressed his surprise at the warm reception he received. Greenwood's career began at Manchester United, where he made his debut as a 17-year-old in a UEFA Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain in March 2019. He went on to score his first senior goal later that year in the UEFA Europa League, becoming the youngest player in Manchester United history to score in European competition. After making 129 appearances and scoring 35 goals for United, he spent the 2023 season on loan at Getafe in Spain, where he netted 10 goals.
