Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka on a free transfer. The experienced Slovakian shot-stopper will join Spurs following the expiration of his contract with Burnley on July 1. At 37 years old, Dubravka brings nearly two decades of professional experience, having made 35 appearances for Burnley in the Premier League last season.

A Fourth Summer Signing for De Zerbi

Dubravka marks the fourth signing of the summer for Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi. He joins defenders Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson, who both arrived on free transfers, as well as Netherlands defender Jan Paul van Hecke, who was acquired from Brighton for a reported fee of £52 million. This influx of talent is part of a strategic effort to enhance the squad's experience and stability after consecutive 17th-place finishes in the Premier League.

Dubravka's journey began at his hometown club, MSK Zilina, where he helped secure two Slovak Superliga titles and a spot in the Champions League group stage in the 2010/11 season. After stints with Esbjerg fB, Slovan Liberec, and Sparta Prague, he made his Premier League debut with Newcastle United in January 2018, a loan that became permanent that summer. During his time at Newcastle, he made 88 consecutive Premier League appearances, solidifying his reputation as a dependable goalkeeper.
