Tottenham Hotspur has officially announced the signing of defender Marcos Senesi on a free transfer following his exit from Bournemouth. The 29-year-old Argentine will finalize his move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 1, pending international clearance.

Senesi's Departure from Bournemouth

Senesi, who made 37 appearances in the Premier League during the 2025/26 season, opted to leave Bournemouth after turning down three contract offers from the club earlier in the season. Despite being capped three times by Argentina, he was not selected for the national squad for this summer's World Cup. Expressing his enthusiasm about joining Tottenham, Senesi described it as a "very special feeling." He emphasized the club's commitment to him and expressed eagerness to contribute to their ongoing projects.

Manager's Confidence in Senesi

Manager Roberto de Zerbi highlighted Senesi's potential to enhance the team's defensive capabilities, especially after two consecutive 17th-place finishes in the Premier League.
