Liverpool complete signing of Jeremy Jacquet - Liverpool FC

Liverpool FC has secured the signing of young prospect Jeremy Jacquet, marking an exciting addition to their roster as they prepare for the new season.

Liverpool FC has officially signed defender Jeremy Jacquet from Stade Rennais on a long-term contract, pending international clearance. The agreement to bring the young French player to Anfield was reached earlier this year, and the transfer is expected to be finalized shortly.

Jacquet's Journey to Liverpool

Jeremy Jacquet joins Liverpool after progressing through the youth system at Rennes, where he made a total of 33 senior appearances. During the 2025-26 season, he played 21 matches before his campaign was cut short due to a shoulder injury sustained in February. Additionally, Jacquet gained valuable experience while on loan at Clermont Foot, where he made 24 appearances over a year-long stint.

Excitement for the Future

The 20-year-old, who has represented France at the U21 level, expressed his enthusiasm about joining Liverpool. In a statement to Liverpoolfc.com, he said, “I feel really good, the first impressions are good and I am very happy to start here. I am very happy. When I see the facilities, I can see myself there. I feel good here and I am very excited to get started. For me it’s a big dream, it’s a big club. A club like Liverpool, it’s a big dream for me.”

Jacquet's squad number will be announced in the near future as he embarks on this new chapter of his career at Anfield.
