Liam Gordon: Gillingham sign central defender on free transfer - BBC Sport
Liam Gordon has joined Gillingham on a free transfer, strengthening their defensive lineup as they prepare for the new season.

Gillingham has announced the signing of central defender Liam Gordon on a free transfer after his departure from Scottish Premiership club Motherwell. The 30-year-old defender brings experience to the League Two side, having played 57 matches and scored two goals during his two seasons at Fir Park.
Gordon's Career Background
Before joining Motherwell, Gordon had a notable stint at St Johnstone, where he made 201 appearances across all competitions. His extensive experience in the Scottish leagues is expected to bolster Gillingham's defensive lineup.
Gillingham's Summer Recruitment
Gordon is the fourth player to join Gillingham this summer, following the signings of James Brophy, Zane Albarus, and Will Goodwin. His arrival aligns with the club's strategy, as technical director Richard Dobson recently indicated that Gillingham is seeking to add six more players to their squad before the transfer window closes.
Expressing his enthusiasm about the move, Gordon stated, "When Gillingham came knocking it was a move that really interested me. I am delighted to be here," as he looks forward to contributing to his new team.
