LFC Women seal signing of goalkeeper Khiara Keating - Liverpool FC
Liverpool FC Women have secured the signing of goalkeeper Khiara Keating, adding depth to their roster as they prepare for the new season.

Liverpool FC Women have officially announced the signing of goalkeeper Khiara Keating, who joins the club on a permanent deal after her contract with Manchester City expired. The 22-year-old goalkeeper reunites with head coach Gareth Taylor, with whom she previously worked at City.
Experience and Career Highlights
Keating, a product of the Manchester City academy, has already accumulated significant experience in her career, making her senior debut at just 17 years old. She has represented England at both youth and senior levels, making her debut for the Lionesses in October 2025. During her time at City, she made her breakthrough in the 2021-22 season, appearing five times in the Barclays Women’s Super League and the Women’s League Cup. She also had loan spells at AFC Fylde and Coventry United before establishing herself fully in the 2023-24 season, where she played 29 matches across all competitions and won the WSL Golden Glove award.
Looking Ahead
In her final season with City, Keating made nine appearances, keeping four clean sheets as the team secured a WSL and Women’s FA Cup double. Reflecting on her career, she stated, “The start of my career has been nothing but amazing. I’ve gained platforms and done brilliantly so far. But I needed that missing [piece of the] puzzle.” She expressed her belief that Liverpool can provide her with the opportunity to play regularly and contribute to a winning team.
Keating will don the No. 12 shirt as she embarks on this new chapter with Liverpool FC Women, aiming to help the team achieve its ambitions.
