South Korean defender Lee Han-beom has officially signed with Belgian champions Club Brugge, marking a significant step in his career. The announcement was made on the club's website, welcoming Lee to the team.

Lee has signed a three-year contract that will keep him at Club Brugge until 2029. He will don the No. 3 jersey for the team. Prior to this move, Lee played for Danish club Midtjylland, where he was instrumental in securing the league title.

International Experience

Club Brugge emphasized Lee's international experience, noting that he has earned 16 caps for the South Korean national team. His achievements include winning a gold medal at the 2023 Asian Games and participating in all three matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The club also shared images of Lee in the Brugge home jersey, proudly displaying the South Korean flag.

While the financial details of the transfer were not disclosed, Danish outlet Tipsbladet reported that the fee could reach 10.5 million euros (approximately $12.1 million), which includes performance-related add-ons. Additionally, Midtjylland has secured a 15 percent sell-on clause. Lee joined Midtjylland in 2023 and quickly became a first-team regular, showcasing his talent in both the Danish league and the UEFA Europa League.

Club Brugge, one of Belgium's most successful football clubs, recently clinched its 20th top-flight title and has been a consistent contender for the league championship over the past decade.
