Juventus is nearing a deal to sign Randal Kolo Muani on a permanent basis, while also pursuing the acquisition of Kerim Alajbegovic, according to chief executive Giovanni Carnevali.

Kolo Muani's Return to Turin

The Bianconeri are focused on strengthening their attacking options ahead of the upcoming season, particularly after finishing sixth in Serie A last year and missing out on Champions League qualification. Kolo Muani, who previously had a successful loan spell at Juventus in 2025, is a primary target. During that time, he scored 10 goals in 22 appearances. His subsequent loan at Tottenham was less fruitful, with only five goals in 41 matches.

Carnevali confirmed that negotiations for Kolo Muani are in the final stages, stating, "We are closing the Kolo Muani deal now, it's a negotiation that has been going on for a long time." He added that initial reports of a completed deal were premature, highlighting the need to mend relations with Paris Saint-Germain before finalizing the transfer.

Interest in Alajbegovic

In addition to Kolo Muani, Juventus is also looking to sign 18-year-old winger Kerim Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen. Alajbegovic had a productive loan spell at Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga during the 2025-26 season and made a significant impact at the World Cup, scoring once and leading his team in dribbles attempted and completed, as well as open-play chances created.

Carnevali mentioned that while progress on Alajbegovic is slower, the club is committed to making him a part of their future plans. "With him, we are a little further behind, but we are working on it," he said. "It is an important investment, but a club like Juve must also think about the future." He emphasized the urgency of finalizing both signings for coach Luciano Spalletti as the summer transfer window progresses.

Juventus is set to kick off their Serie A campaign against Frosinone on August 23, with new signings Jeff Ekhator, Jeremie Boga, and Zeki Celik already joining the squad. The club has also secured a permanent transfer for Lois Openda, although he will be loaned out to Lyon.
