The Atlanta Falcons have secured wide receiver Drake London with a long-term contract, marking a significant financial commitment to the player. The new average annual value (APY) of the deal is set at $35.27 million, placing London among the top earners at his position, just behind Justin Jefferson.

Contract Details

According to a source familiar with the terms, the contract includes a substantial signing bonus of $33.656 million. For the 2026 season, London will have a fully guaranteed base salary of $1.215 million. The contract also features an option bonus of $16.49 million for 2027, which is fully guaranteed, along with a $250,000 offseason workout bonus that must be earned.

As the contract progresses, London’s base salary for 2027 will be $1.26 million, also fully guaranteed. The 2028 season includes an option bonus of $34.445 million, guaranteed for injury at signing and fully guaranteed by the third day of the 2027 league year. Additionally, there are workout bonuses and base salaries structured similarly for the 2028 season, ensuring financial security for London.

Performance-Based Escalators

The deal incorporates performance-based escalators for the 2029 and 2030 seasons. In 2029, London’s base salary could increase by $2.1 million if he achieves 225 catches, 3,000 receiving yards, or 24 touchdowns from 2026 to 2028. For the 2030 season, a $900,000 increase in base salary is possible with 300 catches, 4,000 receiving yards, or 32 touchdowns during the previous four years.

Furthermore, both the 2029 and 2030 seasons include additional escalators tied to performance metrics such as catches, receiving yards, touchdowns, and All-Pro selections, with maximum increases of $3 million based on specific achievements. Prior to this new deal, London was already under contract for 2026 with a fifth-year option valued at $16.82 million.
