In a statement regarding Nagelsmann's departure, DFB president Bernd Neuendorf expressed gratitude for the coach's contributions since he took over in September 2023. He also praised Nagelsmann as a responsible and sincere individual, respected by all.

Nagelsmann's Record and Future Prospects

Nagelsmann, who succeeded Hansi Flick, had previously been dismissed from Bayern Munich after a 20-month tenure that included winning the 2021/22 Bundesliga title. During his time with the national team, he led Germany to the UEFA Euro 2024 quarter-finals and the UEFA Nations League semi-finals. However, despite a strong showing in the group stage of the World Cup, Germany's journey ended prematurely with a record of 23 wins, six draws, and seven defeats across 37 matches under his leadership.
