Fulham has made a significant move in the transfer market by equalling their club record signing to acquire young Spanish striker Gonzalo García from Real Madrid. The transfer fee for García is reported to be €40 million, matching the amount the club paid to Shakhtar Donetsk for Brazilian winger Kevin last summer.

In addition to García, Fulham has also secured the services of 21-year-old midfielder César Palacios from Real Madrid for a fee of €10 million. Both players are following head coach Álvaro Arbeloa to Craven Cottage, having previously worked with him in Madrid’s youth system. García expressed his gratitude upon joining the club, stating, “I’m very grateful, very happy to be here. García has garnered attention from various clubs across Europe this year after making his way into the Madrid first team from the academy. He had a standout performance in the 2025 Club World Cup, where he scored four goals in six matches, earning the tournament’s Golden Boot. Last season, he made 39 appearances for Real Madrid, primarily coming off the bench, and netted eight goals, including a hat-trick against Real Betis in January.

With the signings of García and Palacios, Fulham is looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, following the earlier acquisition of young Swedish forward Jonah Kusi-Asare from Bayern Munich.
