Thomas Meunier, the former full-back for PSG and Borussia Dortmund, has officially joined Sunderland on a free transfer after recently representing Belgium at the 2026 World Cup.

Meunier's Career Move

Sunderland has announced the signing of the seasoned defender, who has committed to a two-year contract at the Stadium of Light. Meunier's transfer comes after the conclusion of his contract with Lille, where he played before this move. His career also includes a brief period at Trabzonspor in Turkiye, and he spent three and a half years at Borussia Dortmund, having joined the Bundesliga club from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020.
