Fluminense sign Hulk until 2027 after Atlético Mineiro exit | OneFootball

Fluminense has secured the signing of forward Hulk on a contract lasting until 2027 after his exit from Atlético Mineiro. This move is expected to bolster Fluminense's attacking options.

Fluminense has officially announced the signing of 39-year-old forward Hulk, who recently departed from Atlético Mineiro. The contract, which extends until the end of 2027, marks Fluminense's first acquisition in the current transfer window.

Debut and Transfer Details

Hulk's debut for Fluminense is set to occur after the Club World Cup, coinciding with the reopening of the Brazilian transfer window. If all goes according to plan, he is expected to don the Fluminense jersey for the first time during the week of July 22, in a match against Bragantino as part of the 19th round of the Brasileirão.

The transfer was completed at no cost to Fluminense, as Hulk terminated his contract with Atlético Mineiro last Friday following discussions between his representatives and the club's management. Although talks initially stalled in January, they were successfully revived in recent weeks.

Farewell to Atlético Mineiro

Hulk is scheduled to bid farewell to Atlético Mineiro fans on Sunday at Arena MRV, prior to the team's match against Botafogo. During his five-year tenure with Atlético, he made over 300 appearances, netting 140 goals and providing 56 assists. His time at the club was highlighted by winning one Brasileirão (2021), one Copa do Brasil (2021), one Supercopa do Brasil (2022), and five Campeonato Mineiro titles (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025).

At Fluminense, Hulk will wear the No. 7 shirt, the same number he carried at Atlético Mineiro. He is expected to arrive in Rio de Janeiro at the beginning of next week.
