F.C. Copenhagen has officially announced the signing of Czech midfielder Alex Král. The 28-year-old brings a wealth of experience from top European leagues, having played for clubs such as Schalke 04, Union Berlin, RCD Espanyol, and West Ham.

International Experience

Král is a seasoned player for the Czech national team, earning 48 international caps and participating in the squad for the European Championship in 2021. Expressing his enthusiasm for joining F.C. Copenhagen, Král stated, "I am proud to be joining F.C. Copenhagen, a club I have of course followed for a number of years, and which always manages to leave its mark on European football." He acknowledged the challenges the club faced in the previous season but emphasized his motivation to help the team make a comeback.

Having started his football career at Slavia Prague, where he gained significant recognition, Král later moved to Spartak Moscow. He is known for his ability to win duels, clear defensive threats, and effectively read the game. Additionally, he acts as a crucial link between defense and attack, covering extensive areas of the pitch. "I am always ready to go the extra mile and do the ‘dirty’ work that is not always noticed," Král added, highlighting his commitment to being a reliable teammate during challenging match situations.

F.C. Copenhagen's Director of Football, Kristjaan Speakman, praised Král's extensive experience and strong performance mindset, which he believes will add value both on and off the pitch.
