Ipswich Town has officially signed Japan forward Daizen Maeda from Celtic on a three-year deal, reportedly worth £10 million. The 28-year-old player recently represented Japan at the 2026 World Cup, where he scored in a 1-1 draw against Sweden, helping his national team reach the last 32 before being eliminated by Brazil.

Impressive Record at Celtic

During his time at Celtic, Maeda made a significant impact, netting 79 goals in 212 appearances. His contributions helped the club secure five league titles, three Scottish Cups, and two League Cups. Maeda expressed his excitement about joining Ipswich, stating, "I have always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and I am very happy I can realise that dream with this club."
