Al Hilal has finalized the acquisition of Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United for a total fee that could reach £60 million. The Saudi club will pay an initial £55 million, with an additional £5 million available through performance-related add-ons. Summerville, a 24-year-old winger, has signed a four-year contract with Al Hilal.

Significant Transfer for West Ham

This transfer marks the third-highest sale in West Ham's history, following the departures of Declan Rice to Arsenal and Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham earlier in the transfer window. With the completion of this deal, West Ham will have generated over £150 million from the sales of Summerville and Fernandes this summer, a crucial financial boost after their relegation to the Championship.

Interest from Other Clubs

Before Al Hilal's successful bid, Roma had shown interest in Summerville, having their offer of £39 million rejected on July 20. Manchester United also targeted the winger but were unable to advance negotiations until they sold Marcus Rashford. Al Hilal's late offer, reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, was significantly higher than Roma's initial proposal, leading to a swift acceptance by West Ham.

During the 2025/26 season, Summerville made 34 appearances for West Ham, scoring seven goals and providing five assists. He also played in all four matches for the Netherlands at the 2026 World Cup, contributing two goals and two assists to his national team's efforts.
