Samuel Chukwueze has been named in AC Milan's 26-man squad for the initial phase of pre-season training under new head coach Ruben Amorim, as reported by PUNCH Sports Extra. The squad will commence training at the Milanello training center today, where Amorim will evaluate his players ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Chukwueze's Opportunity

After returning from a loan spell, Chukwueze is eager to make an impression on Amorim to secure his place in the team's plans. The 27-year-old winger's future at San Siro has been uncertain, particularly after facing challenges in securing consistent playing time. However, Amorim appears to appreciate Chukwueze’s speed, versatility, and ability to challenge defenses, which could lead to a more significant role for him if he performs well during pre-season.

Squad Updates

Amorim expressed his need for players who can excel in one-on-one situations, indicating that Chukwueze will be a valuable asset. Alongside him, other players returning from loan, such as Francesco Camarda and Yunus Musah, will also be looking to impress the new manager. New signing Mario Gila has been included in the squad following his transfer from Lazio, while young talents like Aurelien Guernier, Andrej Kostic, and Christian Comotto are also part of the pre-season group.

Notably, Portugal international Goncalo Ramos has yet to join the squad as he is on holiday after participating in the FIFA World Cup. Conversely, Kevin Zeroli has been excluded from the squad after finishing last season with Juve Stabia in the Serie B promotion play-offs and is expected to leave the club. Warren Bondo is also not in Amorim's plans and will train separately until he finds a new team.
