PAOK has officially announced the signing of Christos Zafeiris from Slavia Prague. The talented midfielder has committed to a contract with the club that will run until December 31, 2029. However, Zafeiris will continue to play on loan at Slavia for the next few months, with his official joining date at PAOK set for January 2, 2026.

Player Background

Born on February 23, 2003, in Athens, Zafeiris moved to Norway at the age of 10, where he honed his skills at various academies, including Fornebu, Lillestrøm, Felmar, and Valerenga. He made his professional debut in 2020 with Grorud, where he accumulated 50 appearances, netting three goals and providing five assists over two seasons. In August 2021, he transferred to Haagesund, further developing his game with 32 appearances, five goals, and five assists.

Career Progression

In January 2023, Zafeiris took a significant step in his career by signing with Slavia Prague. During his time there, he made 105 appearances, scored 13 goals, and contributed 12 assists. His tenure with the Czech club included winning the league championship in the 2024-25 season and the Czech Cup in the 2022-23 season.

On the international stage, Zafeiris has represented Norway at various youth levels and also played for the Greek national Under-16 team. In 2024, he decided to represent Greece, making his senior debut on September 7, 2024, in a Nations League match against Finland.
