Bodo/Glimt secured their place in the UEFA Champions League playoff round after a thrilling encounter against Union Saint-Gilloise, where the two teams combined for 11 goals over the two legs. In a chaotic match in Norway, Bodo/Glimt managed to clinch a 3-2 victory at home, with Andreas Helmerson scoring the decisive goal in the 117th minute. The hosts initially took the lead twice during normal time through Ole Blomberg and Jens Hauge, but Union responded each time, leveling the score late in the match. Union's task became even more challenging when Kamiel van de Perre received a second yellow card just before the end of regulation.

Lyon and Fenerbahce Join the Fray

Olympique Lyon turned around a 2-1 first-leg deficit against Sparta Prague, taking advantage of their numerical superiority in the second half. Ernest Nuamah opened the scoring for Lyon, followed by goals from Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Tyler Morton within six minutes of each other.
