Champions League playoffs draw: Bodø/Glimt to face either Olympiakos or NEC Nijmegen in last round - Sportstar
Bodø/Glimt has been drawn to play either Olympiakos or NEC Nijmegen in the last round of the Champions League playoffs, aiming for a coveted group stage position.

Bodø/Glimt, the surprise package of last season's Champions League, is set to face either Olympiakos or NEC Nijmegen in the qualifying playoffs. This matchup was determined during the draw held on Monday, marking a crucial step for the Norwegian club as they aim to return to the prestigious tournament.
Path to the Playoffs
Before facing Olympiakos or NEC Nijmegen, Bodø/Glimt will play Union Saint-Gilloise in the first leg of the third qualifying round on Tuesday. The overall winner of this tie will advance to the playoffs to compete against the Greek league's runner-up or the third-place team from the Netherlands, which is making its Champions League debut.
Previous Success
Hailing from a small fishing town north of the Arctic Circle, Bodø/Glimt made headlines last season by reaching the Round of 16 in the Champions League. Their remarkable journey included victories over notable clubs such as Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, and Inter Milan.
In addition to Bodø/Glimt's draw, other matchups were also announced. Fenerbahce will take on Sturm Graz, with the winner moving on to face either Sparta Prague or Lyon. The first legs of these matches are scheduled for August 18 or 19, with return fixtures set for the following week. A total of seven teams from the qualifying rounds will secure a place in the elite 36-team main phase, with the draw for this phase taking place on August 27 in Monaco.
As the playoffs approach, Bodø/Glimt and their supporters will be hoping for another memorable run in the Champions League.
