The Champions League 2026/27 is set to feature top European clubs. Find out which teams have qualified, their respective pots, and when the draw will take place.

Liverpool is gearing up for the 2026/27 Champions League season, having already identified 28 clubs that will compete alongside them. After securing the fifth and final Champions League spot in the Premier League last season with a total of 60 points, the Reds are looking to enhance their performance in the prestigious tournament.
Qualified Teams Overview
Joining Liverpool in the league phase will be Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Aston Villa, all of whom finished above them in the Premier League standings. With only seven spots left to fill through qualifying rounds this summer, the remaining places will be occupied by teams based on their final league positions from the 2025/26 season.
Champions and Other Qualifiers
Several clubs have secured their places by winning their respective leagues. Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Inter Milan will represent Ligue 1, Bundesliga, La Liga, and Serie A, respectively. Additionally, teams like Shakhtar Donetsk, PSV Eindhoven, Club Brugge, Slavia Prague, Porto, and Galatasaray have also qualified through their league performances.
From Europe’s top five leagues, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Real Betis, and Villarreal from La Liga, along with Roma, Como, and Napoli from Serie A, have also made the cut. The Bundesliga will see Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Stuttgart participating, while Ligue 1 includes Lille and Lens. Sporting CP and Eredivisie runners-up Feyenoord, managed by former Liverpool assistant Giovanni van Bronckhorst, round out the list of qualifiers.
Draw Date and Pot Placement
The draw for the Champions League will take place on August 27, where Liverpool will learn their eight opponents for the league phase. Notably, the Reds will not face any fellow Premier League teams at this stage. Liverpool has been placed in Pot 1 for the draw, alongside notable clubs such as PSG, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Manchester City, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid.
As the competition approaches, Liverpool aims to make a significant impact in the Champions League, building on their recent qualification and the fresh managerial perspective of Andoni Iraola.
