Arianna Caruso has made history by becoming the first Italian player to join Real Madrid Femenino. The 26-year-old midfielder has transferred from Bayern Munich to the Spanish club, signing a contract that will keep her at Real Madrid until June 30, 2030. The transfer fee for Caruso is reported to be around €600,000, plus additional bonuses, setting a new record for an Italian women's footballer. This surpasses the previous record established just weeks earlier by Giulia Dragoni's transfer from Barcelona to Chelsea, which was also managed by Alessandro Orlandi’s agency, Assist Women.

Caruso's decision to leave Bayern Munich was influenced by her desire for new challenges. Bianca Rech, the director of Bayern Women, noted that Caruso expressed her wish to explore different opportunities, prompting the club to facilitate her move to Spain. During her time at Bayern, Caruso enjoyed considerable success, winning six trophies, including two Bundesliga titles, two DFB-Pokals, and two German Super Cups, all within a year and a half.
