Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo has officially transferred to Manchester United in a deal valued at up to £71 million. The agreement, reached last Friday, includes a guaranteed payment of £65 million to be paid in four instalments, along with an additional £6 million in achievable add-ons. Mbeumo's move comes after extensive negotiations, during which United had previously submitted a rejected offer of £55 million plus £7.5 million in add-ons.

Excitement for a New Chapter

Mbeumo, who has signed a five-year contract with an option for an additional year, expressed his enthusiasm about joining United, stating, "As soon as I knew there was a chance to join Manchester United, I had to take the opportunity to sign for the club of my dreams; the team whose shirt I wore growing up." He is set to join the squad as they depart for a pre-season tour in the United States.

Future Aspirations

The forward is eager to develop his skills under the guidance of manager Ruben Amorim and alongside top-tier players. Mbeumo remarked on the positive environment at the club, emphasizing the ambition to compete for major trophies, saying, "This is a massive club, with an incredible stadium and amazing fans, we are all really determined to challenge for the biggest trophies."

Despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, Mbeumo's preference was always to move to Old Trafford, where he aims to elevate his game and contribute to the team's success.
