Arsenal FC has officially announced the signing of Brazilian international Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United on a long-term contract. The club expressed excitement about adding Guimaraes, who has made a name for himself as one of the Premier League's most influential players.

Bruno's Career Journey

The 28-year-old midfielder began his professional career in Brazil, debuting with Audax in 2015 before moving to Athletico Paranaense in 2017. At Athletico, he became recognized as one of Brazil's top young talents, contributing to the club's success with four major trophies. In January 2020, he transferred to Lyon, where he further solidified his reputation over two seasons in Ligue 1.

Guimaraes joined Newcastle United in January 2022, where he made nearly 200 appearances during his four-and-a-half seasons at St James’ Park. He was instrumental in Newcastle's Carabao Cup victory in 2025 and played a key role in securing the club’s qualification for the UEFA Champions League in two consecutive seasons.

International Experience

An established figure in the Brazil national team, Guimaraes has earned 48 caps and participated in major tournaments, including the recent FIFA World Cup and the Copa America. He also won a gold medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, showcasing his talent on the international stage.
