Bayer Leverkusen has announced the signing of Miguel Gutiérrez from Napoli, filling the gap left by Alejandro Grimaldo's transfer to Atlético Madrid. The Spanish left-back has signed a five-year contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2031.

Gutiérrez's Impressive Background

Last season, Gutiérrez made 36 competitive appearances, showcasing his skills in both Spain and Italy. Before his move to Napoli, he had a successful stint at Girona, where he played 112 matches, and he also featured 10 times for Real Madrid at the senior level. While primarily a left-back, Gutiérrez is versatile and can operate in more advanced positions, similar to Grimaldo's role during his time at Leverkusen.
