CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Battery have officially announced that forward Colton Swan will join Scottish Premiership club Hibernian FC following the conclusion of the 2026 USL Championship season and playoffs. The transfer agreement, confirmed on Sunday, includes a six-figure fee for the Battery, along with a sell-on clause.

Colton Swan’s Performance and Future

Swan, who is currently the leading goalscorer for the Battery, will complete his 2026 season in Charleston before making the move to Edinburgh when the winter FIFA transfer window opens in January. The 19-year-old has scored 11 goals in 20 matches across all competitions this season and has also provided two assists. His impressive performance earned him the Championship Player of the Month award for May. Swan will continue to contribute to the Battery’s quest for silverware while vying for the league's Young Player of the Year accolade.

Hibernian Head Coach David Gray expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “We’re really pleased to have agreed a deal for Colton.
