FC Barcelona has officially announced the acquisition of German forward Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund. The 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract that will keep him at the Camp Nou until June 2031.

Adeyemi marks Barcelona's second signing of the summer, following the arrival of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United. His speed and adaptability provide coach Hans-Dieter Flick with a valuable attacking option, as he can operate centrally or on either flank. The two are already familiar with each other, as Flick gave Adeyemi his senior debut for Germany in 2021. Adeyemi leaves Dortmund after four seasons, during which he netted 36 goals in 146 appearances after joining from RB Salzburg in 2022.
