Atlanta United signs midfielder Adrian Gill | Atlanta United FC

Atlanta United FC has officially signed midfielder Adrian Gill, adding depth and talent to their squad for the upcoming season.

Atlanta United has completed the signing of midfielder Adrian Gill from FC Barcelona. The club announced the move on January 27, 2026, securing the player to a contract through June 2027 with option years extending through the 2029-30 season. The transaction is pending the receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson welcomed the new addition to the squad.

“Adrian is a young midfielder with U.S. youth national team experience whose development path led him to one of the top academies in the world at Barcelona,”
Henderson said.
“We're pleased to welcome him to the club and add more competition to our group of midfielders.”

Gill, a 20-year-old born in Denver, Colorado, holds citizenship in both the United States and Poland. He moved to Spain as a child and began his academy career with UE Cornellà in 2017. His performances there earned him a move to the prestigious La Masia, FC Barcelona's academy, the following year.

After progressing through the Barcelona system, Gill signed his first professional contract with the club in 2022. He most recently played with the U-19 side and Barcelona B from 2024 to 2025. He signed a contract extension with Barcelona in 2025 before returning to his former club, UE Cornellà, on a loan spell.

On the international stage, Gill has represented the United States, earning 10 caps for the U-17 team between 2022 and 2023. He featured prominently at the 2023 Concacaf U-17 Championship, making seven appearances and recording two assists as the U.S. advanced to the final.

Within the Atlanta United roster, Gill will occupy a Supplemental spot (Spots 21-30). He joins a midfield group that includes players such as Miguel Almirón, Tristan Muyumba, and Alexey Miranchuk.
